Stiff Legged Crane

The Stiff Legged Crane was manufactured by the American Hoist and Derrick Co. in St. Paul, Minnesota. The estimated shaft horse power is 20 when running with 100 PSI (Hobby Boiler Pressure).

Crane Boom on Rest – The Boom is in it’s storage position on the Boom Rest.

Crane Central Vertical and Two Legs – This shows the central vertical with the rotation line at the bottom below the boom on the edge of the circular structure.

The Lake Region Steam School will take place June 27, 28 & 29. The first session will begin at 6:30 PM on Friday night and will conclude Sunday evening. The course will cover a variety of topics that will help prepare students to maintain and operate an engine under Minnesota state guidelines. The course will be a combination of classroom and hands on learning. The instructors will be from our show and the University of Rollag, which has held an annual steam school for a number of years.
